Contribute to the Arecibo Observatory mission

Good news from the Arecibo Observatory!
Cornell University, which has managed the observatory since its inception in 1963, has agreed to act as Arecibo's foundation and accept contributions to the observatory. There is a web site with information on how to make a tax-deductable donation to the observatory: http://www.arecibo-observatory.org. At this time, contributions can be made only by mail or phone. Be sure to specify clearly that your contribution is to the Arecibo Observatory, as Cornell is also in the midst of a major fundraising drive (to which you may find the heart to contribute as well). Online contributions will be possible in the very near future.

To add to the good news is the imminent prospect of a matching grant.
Cornell is finalizing a matching grant with a foundation to provide a dollar-for-dollar match to your contributions. Watch this page to see when your contributions will be matched.
